MY trip to the dentist

I can't move the right side of my face- it's still numb 5 hours later! It could be worse, but I would have thought the stuff would have worn off by now. I got so cold at the dentists office they gave me a warm pillow for my back, a heated neck pillow, a blanket, and warm booties for my feet after the lady did the massage. I must have watched the financial news channel for about two hours so I can tell you all about the US FED interest cut and how the dollar finally was showing signs of stabling... Minus the whole shrieking drill, fluids flying everywhere, the smell of burning chemical in my mouth, and the not being able to talk since my mouth is so damn numb you'd think it would be an enjoyable visit lol

As I sit here some yummy hot chicken noodle soup is cooking in the microwave. I woke up with a massive sinus headache. There is so much pressure and I feel just icky. Sudafed, tylenol, allergy medicine- nothing seems to be working. The mircowave just beeped, and I am putting a lot of high hopes on the chicken noodle soup to save me.

I'm 26 years old and am still afraid of the dentist. They want to replace all of the fillings I received when I was a child with newer more advanced fillings. Maybe there was a boom in dental technology that I was unaware of, but part of me is of the mindset that they're only after the money. I guess as long as it’s the insurance money mostly and not mine, I'll keep my mouth wide open for the 2 1/2 hours ordeal on Wednesday.

I survived the kitchen yet again.

We ended up with a yummy chicken/curry/peanut sauce wanton that was spiced up with a few other ingredients. I had my doubts, but Seven always prevails. The red onion definitely gave it a kick!

The other dish we created was a fruit tart with shortbread type dough. Had some raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries with a purple color cream cheese icing.

I'll have to punish myself tomorrow at the gym lol

For the record, I am tired. I slept too long and accomplished too little today.

I made it clear I would not be leaving bed at all. I would make exceptions to go pee but for the rest of the day I would be out of commission. I was alone in bed without my dog, my cat, or my bug. So I ended up pulling my ass out of bed around 11.

I cannot account for the rest of the day other than it involved throwing some chicken in the crock pot with some lemon pepper marinade, very very light cleaning, painting my nails, getting my news fix, losing at online poker, and diving into an adult beverage.

The day has been wasted- but it has not been a waste in my book. It was my intent on being a bum all day today.

~Randomness~

*Last night, I dreamed about meeting my maker after a drawn out battle with a rogue evil LaserCat. *

*I admire the Dixie Chicks for many reasons, but right now for doing a beautiful remake of Landslide.*

*I think I need to take a step away or at least utilize the mute button better.*

*I'm progressive, but I don't like be lumped into the same category as hippies.*

*It annoys me that people still ask me how classes are going even though I graduated 4 years ago.*

*If I could find my armband for my ipod, I'd be at the gym right now. I have no staminia without the music.*

*Today’s agenda includes pink nail polish, a walk with the dog, and finding the second book in the Number 1 Lady’s Detective Agency series- though I cannot say with any certainty that I’ll actually accomplish any of those directives.*

I am getting too old for antics. What is it with this community? We feed our egos by blasting everyone whom we have a disagreement with or mocking individuals who we believe to be better than. Perhaps we need to redirect our energy towards alleviating real world problems instead of shaming each other.

I think that this community does help by continually giving opportunities for understanding. If even a very small number take that opportunity ....job done.

ps...can't remember the last time I had a good bout of antics lmao

INFP - Introverted Intuition Feeling Perceiving

INFPs focus deeply on their values, and they devote their lives to pursuing the ideal. They often draw people together around a common purpose and work to find a place for each person within the group. They are creative, and they seek new ideas and possibilities. They quietly push for what is important to them, and they rarely give up. While they have a gentleness about them and a delightful sense of humor, they may be somewhat difficult to get to know and may be overlooked by others. They are at their best making their world more in line with their internal vision of perfection.

Friday afternoons are great because we typically call it a day around noon and then spend the afternoon in the kitchen creating scrumptious bites. We've done a pear with blue cheese crepe and a home made chicken corn chowder.

Three beers down and am operating under the notion of making drunk home made waffles later :)
